“American Nerd” by Benjamin Nugent is a 2008 book that I have a feeling mistakenly ended up in the humor section in a lot of bookstores. Although certainly funny in parts, “American Nerd” is a thoughtful meditation on nerd culture by an author who knows that world intimately.
